With SmartDairy, herd managers can select cows to be sorted through their PC or in the milking parlour. SmartDairy software provides input commands for single or multiple sorting operations. No more time wasted pushing cows out of a group or holding them in headlocks.

SmartDairy Sort gives you fast, flexible and efficient sorting at your fingertips. The SmartDairy sort system uses ISO RFID ear tags.

This system will automatically sort a cow into a catch area as she leaves the milking parlour. An ID antenna installed just ahead of the sort gate reads the ID tag of a “sort cow” and a single sort gate is opened to divert the cow into a catch area. The cow being sorted activates a sensor as she walks into the catch area. The gate then automatically closes behind the sorted cow.
