Retirement farewell for Helmut Elsen

Helmut joined BouMatic on 1st March 2006 from a milking technology competitor and has been an important part of the BouMatic family ever since.

His employment with us began as an employee at the Help Desk in Remicourt.

Over the years, he then moved seamlessly to the development department in Remicourt. There, Helmut was jointly responsible for pre-series development and prototype testing in the field.

In his further career at BouMatic, Helmut became a GM spare parts specialist and was also very successful in supporting the spare parts business for the European BouMatic dealers.

Helmut fulfilled this function as ASM in the aftermarket, in the spare parts area, until that day when his professional life was suddenly cut short by an unexpected health problem.

After this time had passed successfully, we were delighted that from 1st March 2016 Helmut was in charge of the technical manuals and bulletins for Europe in the Technical Documentation Department as ‘Manager Technical Documentation Europe’, in close cooperation with the

Documentation Department in the USA. He expertly revised them, made them available and uploaded them to the BouMatic dealer site and made them accessible to everyone.

In this, as in all his previous roles as an employee at BouMatic, he has also left a lasting mark here.

His influence is clear when you look at many manuals and documents today, which have evolved greatly as a result of his influence.

Helmut was of course also a guarantor for open questions and solutions for all colleagues, as well as for our dealers when it came to special support. Be it in the compilation of service parts for enquiries and support for the creation of service contracts or in the search for older information.

Helmut was a safe bet for such things and usually knew a way to help. ‘Mission Impossible’ was almost always a foreign word for him…

Apart from his many years of professional experience and technical expertise as a master electrician, Helmut will remain in our minds. His willingness to share knowledge in his honest and open, knowledgeable manner with his colleagues has left a lasting impression on our team.
