Thursday March 5th, 2020, our BouMatic sales team and BouMatic dealer Loohuis Technik GMBH organised two robot workshops at the Mardink Family Farm in Wilsum.

The theme of the day: Robotic Milking and feeding in robots in general and in practice.

Two leading livestock feeding companies Raiffeisen Ems-Vechte (compound feeding) and HL Hamburger Leistungsfutter GMBH (concentrated feeding), presented their viewpoints and advice on robot feeding. The discussion focused on finding the right balance between feed in the trough and feed in the robot. Finding this balance helps to get your cows in good health conditions and reach a correspondingly high milk yield.

The BouMatic sales team, together with dealer Loohuis Melktechnik, presented their product range in automatic milking, milking heifers, udder hygiene, the Ranger feed pusher...

Furthermore, topics such as optimal robot operation management and stable concepts related to animal welfare were explained.

In conclusion, it was a very successful workshop day fueled by very interesting people, professionals in the field and opinion leaders.

Special thanks to Jurgen Lefers for organizing this day, as well as to the German sales team and to our dealer Loohuis Melktechnik. We also thanks Richard & Ingo Mardink family for their pleasant welcome into their farm.
