Skills & Experience

Below are skills we are interested in. Candidates need not have all of these skills (and likely won’t). Depending on the type of project, the candidate will also be able to learn and gain experience in the following areas:

  • Understanding of refrigeration cycles and system components.
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuits related to refrigeration.
  • Experience with hand tools and hardware assembly.
  • Willingness to travel for on-site testing and evaluations.
  • Refrigeration troubleshooting experience.
  • Design and execution of tests and data collection for refrigeration products and equipment.
  • Documentation and the ability to organize and present data (Word, excel, etc.)
  • May occasionally need to travel to farms for prototype testing and evaluation. Should be comfortable in the farm environment.

Nice to Have

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar for design and modeling.
  • Familiar with PLC controller and data acquisition.
  • Knowledge of Dairy industry and equipment/ Farm background
  • Refrigeration aptitude or experience is a plus

Responsibilities (with guidance from our engineering team)

  • Assist with the design and prototyping of refrigeration systems.
  • Support in testing and evaluating system performance and troubleshooting issues.
  • Help with creating and maintaining technical documentation and reports.
  • Test equipment Design and Troubleshooting
  • Occasional assistance with production equipment issues and questions.
  • Documentation (Schematics, Manuals, test documents, etc.)
  • Regulatory technical assistance (UL,ETL, CSA, CE)
