Experienced service and milk quality technicians with a sound working knowledge of good milking management and the production of high quality milk. Delivery Method: Instructor led classroom and lab Overview: This training class will provide advanced students with a sound working knowledge of good milking management and the production of high quality milk. The class will study bacteria and mastitis types and the prevention methods used to minimize these cases. Participants will complete System Analysis, interpret the results and prioritize recommendations. During the course we review herd management reports and use them to analyze parlor performance and milking procedures. Also covered in the course will be BouMatic Sizer program and Guidelines manual and how these tools can be used in designing and analyzing systems. Prerequisite for this course: • BouMatic 101 • VIP 101 • CIP 101, 201 • Thorough understanding of milking system and BouMatic product offering • A laptop with Internet access ; vacuum tester Learning Outcomes: At the completion of this course participants will be able to: • Perform a Complete System Analysis • Communicate accurate recommendations on Milk Harvest equipment • Program and adjust equipment for maximum milkability • Utilize herd management reports to analyze parlor performance and milking procedure • Design and analyze milk harvest systems using the BouMatic Sizer Program and BouMatic guidelines manual.
