BouMatic, a pioneer in dairy technology, is excited to announce the launch of the Magnum Turbo21 Liner, the latest innovation in cow milking technology. Designed to enhance efficiency and comfort on dairy farms, the Magnum Turbo 21 Liner features well-engineered and thoughtfully designed elements that ensure quick milking and reliable attachment
The Magnum Turbo 21 liner features a specially adapted smaller mouthpiece of 21mm, allowing a quick attachment. This is particularly ideal for jerseys, cows with smaller teats and for use in robotic systems. An optimized circular upper part with and additional 5mm beneath the mouthpiece enhances sealing and reduces mouthpiece vacuum. This helps to minimize teat swelling and improve cow comfort. The triangular barrel is shorter with an extended longer short milk tube for better positioning. The combination of round and triangular shapes ensures optimal alignment and positioning.
Philipp Wittwer-Piene, Product Manager Milk Harvest at BouMatic
states: “We designed this liner to ensure quick milking sessions by
reducing liner slip and air sucking, resulting in a smooth and efficient
process. It offers reliable attachment, minimizing failures when
attaching the robot, making it ideal for both small and medium teats.
The Magnum Turbo 21 is perfectly suited for younger cows and robotic
milking systems, providing a seamless fit and operation.”
Before launching to the market, the Magnum Turbo 21 liner was tested on several farms across Europe, with overall very positive user experiences. Feedback provided valuable insights, such as calmer milking in the Gemini UP milking robot, especially with heifers (Claudia Maahs, Germany). At the Cervi Ciboldi farm in Italy, which uses a 2x16 Xpressway parallel milking parlour, they reported increased milking speed and better milking results. EARL La Palue in France noted an increase in milking speed and a significant improvement in cell counts, greatly benefiting their ice cream and yogurt product.
The Magnum Turbo 21 liner is part of the patented Magnum Turbo liners series, featuring cylindrical mouthpiece and a triangular barrel. “No other liners are more focused on the health of the dairy cow,” continues Wittwer-Piene. “Using the right liner is important to milk correctly with a contemporary dairy system and allow the dairy manager to progress continuously and evolve with the future genetics and milking criteria. Magnum Turbo liners hold true to BouMatic’s long standing milking principle: the milking machine should remove the milk from the cow’s udder, gently, quickly and completely.” he adds.
