BouMatic celebrates 85th anniversary with the Introduction of the Bouma Award

Madison, Wisconsin, May 1, 2024, BouMatic, a pioneer in dairy technology, proudly celebrates its 85th anniversary this year. From the humble beginnings in 1939, BouMatic has established a solid reputation for producing innovative, high-tech dairy technology in a rapidly changing dairy industry. The company is therefore thrilled to announce commemoration of 85 years of excellence by seeking nominations for the inaugural Bouma Award.

Honouring Lawrence Bouma, founder of the company

The Bouma Award is named after BouMatic founder Lawrence Bouma. It is a heartfelt tribute to those whose dedication to service mirrors the timeless values of Bouma while being an integral part of the BouMatic family.

“Lawrence was an influential man, not just in terms of BouMatic, but within dairy innovation and within his own community,” said Steve Pretz, President of BouMatic.
“We would like to honour him and his spirit with the introduction of the Lawrence Bouma award.”

BouMatic’s 85th anniversary is a significant milestone for the company and a testament to its unwavering commitment, innovation, and resilience in the industry today and in the future.

Seeking nominations

BouMatic is now seeking nominations for the Bouma award. Nominees must have been associated with BouMatic either by being an employee, dealer, dairymen or supplier.
A nominee's impact may be broad (reaching many people or extending throughout regions) or deep (significant impact on a smaller population or geography), but it should be significant, something outstanding to business or humanitarian efforts.

Nomination applications open on May 1, 2024 and close June 30, 2024. The winner be announced at the grand celebration to be held during the week of World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wisconsin. Details on the celebration are pending.
