Karl Michael Herdt was one of the guest speakers of the 2015 Large Dairy Herd Symposium in Saint-Malo, France. In this presentation, he introduces us to the design approach of a building project for a large herd.

To begin with, Michael Herdt was an assistant to Professor Dr. Seufert, in the Agriculture/Agricultural techniques section of the Kassel comprehensive university in Witzenhausen, then an assistant to Professor Dr. Seufert at the Institute of Agricultural Techniques of the university of Bonn. For 2 years, he worked independently in industrial electronics in the field of microprocessor technology.
Since January 1987, he heads the engineering and design office HERDT: design office for dairy farms (constructional and engineering planning), authorization management under the construction and emissions protection legislation, predictive emissions expertise for livestock facilities.
Since 30/06/2000: Sworn expert in the field of livestock emissions.
