Gilmon F. Albrecht founds the Dairy Equipment Company in Madison, Wisconsin.

Lawrence Bouma establishes Bou-Matic Milkers, Inc. in Ontario, California.
January 1st, 1951
Dairy Equipment Company introduces Dari-Kool "canless" bulk milk coolers.
January 1st, 1956
BouMatic operates from a new location in Ontario and supplies equipment through its Bouma Distribution agency.
January 1st, 1961
Dairy Equipment Company acquires Bou-Matic, relocates it to Wisconsin.
January 1st, 1969
DEC International, a parent company of Dairy Equipment Company, is established, reflecting the company's diverse product lines and global orientation.

Gascoigne and Melotte merge to form a leader in milking machine design and development.
January 1st, 1994
Bou-Matic has divisions in several countries including Australia, England, France, Israel, Japan and Saudi Arabia.
January 1st, 1997
Annual sales reach $80 million, 60 percent of which derives from outside the United States.
January 1st, 2004
Bou-Matic purchases Gascoigne-Melotte to strengthen its global market position.
